CVA’s action-packed fundraiser truly was an Amazing Experience.
A fun-packed fundraising event at The Chester Grosvenor Hotel helped raise a stunning £11,500 to support the wide-ranging work of Chester Voluntary Action (CVA).
Based in The Bluecoat, Northgate Street, the charity has championed and supported the interests of thousands of volunteers and community organisations across West Cheshire for over 100 years.
The team supports more than 400 local charities and community groups with funding advice, training, good practice and signposting. CVA Chief Executive Helen White said “We would like to say a very big thank you to all our guests and sponsors. By supporting our Ball all they are helping charities across Cheshire West make a real difference to the people and communities they support. The money we have raised will help us support charities to deliver even more for some of the most vulnerable people in society”
The black-tie event, attended by The Lord Mayor of Chester, Cllr Alex Black and the Lady Mayoress of Chester, Mrs Janet Black, attracted more than 170 guests and a variety of sponsors including Hartey Wealth Management and The Wine School of Cheshire.
The fundraiser included a raffle, tombola and Iive auction of amazing experiences from a personal flight over Cheshire to gin tasting, to VIP hospitality at Manchester United. Following the auction, guests danced till the early hours.
